Dear Parent / Guardian,
I hope this letter finds you and your family safe and well during this unprecedented time. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank our entire community for their efforts over the past few weeks. It has been wonderful to see the commitment shown by our students in completing their distance learning programme and I thank you for your support in helping them achieve this. I have been blown away by the endeavour and talent shown across the curriculum from English and Maths to some amazing artwork. This level of dedication will ensure that this crisis will not have a lasting damaging effect on our students’ academic progress.
I would like to take this opportunity to mention Ramadan for the Muslim families taking part in fasting from dawn till sunset. I understand that this period is a time for reflection, prayers and thinking about the needy across the globe, by means of charitable giving. On behalf of all the staff at King’s, we wish you all the best in your endeavours during this time.

Please ensure that this is maintained so that students can benefit from acquiring the desired level of knowledge for their academic
Next week will see the launch of two new schemes to assist our students. Firstly, virtual music lessons in both theory and practical will begin on Wednesday 29th April. Secondly, we are aware of the toll this current situation is having on our young peoples’ mental health so we will be launching a website where students can go to access resources as well as report any concerns to a member of
Finally, it is the duty of all of us to follow government guidelines regarding social distancing in order to support our NHS and keep our communities safe. May I remind you that any form of social gathering with family or friends who are not currently living with you is not allowed. We should limit any movement outside of our house to one piece of exercise a day, maintaining at least 2m distance with other people and infrequent visits to the shops where absolutely necessary. I know this is difficult, especially at this time, but we all have a responsibility to be careful.
I finish by reminding you that if you or your family require any form of support we are here to help
