On a warm summer evening, the red carpet was rolled out at The Balmayna in Bolton, and our students arrived in true star style for King’s Bolton’s second-ever prom and what a night it was!
Dressed to impress, our Year 11 students stepped out in dazzling gowns and sharp suits, ready to celebrate not only the end of their exams, but the friendships, memories, and journey they've shared during their time with us. As they posed for photos and made their grand entrance, there was a real sense that this was a moment they - and we - would never forget.
Ms Juwairiyyah Patel, English Teacher, summed it up perfectly:
“Prom was a fantastic evening and a real highlight of the school year. Seeing the students arrive looking so grown up, proud, and full of excitement was genuinely moving. After all their hard work and the challenges they’ve faced, it was brilliant to watch them relax, celebrate, and make memories with their friends. There were moments of laughter, a few emotional speeches, and a real sense of pride in the room. It was the perfect way to mark the end of their journey with us at King's - a night they’ll remember, and one we were lucky to share with them.”
The Balmayna provided the perfect setting: elegant décor, fantastic food, and a dance floor that stayed busy all night thanks to some seriously good music. But more than anything, it was the energy and spirit of our students that made the evening so magical.
Chloe Morris, Year 11 student, reflected on the night with heartfelt gratitude:
“After 5 years of being in school we all couldn't wait to leave, grow up and get started on our flight path. Year 11 was a tough one, even for the teachers. The teachers did the best they could to get us to go so far—we had ups and downs but they got us to where we needed to be. Thank you to all the teachers, I'll forever be thankful for all you've done for every single one of us."
“Everyone put such hard work into their exams and you gave us a night to remember—you gave us prom! It was the most amazing night of my life. It was so nice for everyone to see all the students for the final time, even the teachers were getting picked up by the students! Honestly the best night—we couldn’t ask for more. Thank you to Miss Nadia for putting all your time and work into one special night. You should be so proud of yourself, we all appreciate everything you have done for us. The venue was perfect, the music was on point, and the food was amazing. It really is a night to remember.”
We couldn’t be prouder of the Class of 2025. Your resilience, your spirit, and your achievements have left a mark on all of us at King’s Bolton. Prom was more than just a celebration—it was a send-off worthy of everything you’ve become.
Here’s to the memories made, the friendships forged, and the bright futures that lie ahead.
