At King's Leadership Academy Bolton, we believe that every student has the right to learn in a calm, safe and purposeful environment. Excellent behaviour is the foundation of outstanding teaching and learning, allowing every young person to achieve their full potential.
Our culture is built on high expectations, consistency and mutual respect. We expect all students to demonstrate our ASPIRE values in everything they do, showing ambition, integrity, kindness and responsibility both inside and outside the classroom. By maintaining clear routines and consistent expectations, we create an environment where students feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
Our approach to behaviour is firm, fair and consistent. From the moment students join the Academy, they are taught our expectations and understand the choices they make and the consequences that follow. We believe that clear boundaries help students develop self-discipline, resilience and the character needed to succeed both in school and beyond.
Positive behaviour is recognised and celebrated every day. Students are rewarded for demonstrating our values, making excellent progress, contributing positively to the Academy community and maintaining high standards of attendance and conduct. Recognition includes classroom rewards, CREDIMUS points, appreciations, achievement badges and celebration assemblies.
Whilst we always seek to encourage and support positive behaviour, we also operate a clear and consistent behaviour system. Where expectations are not met, appropriate consequences are applied fairly and consistently to ensure that the learning of others is not disrupted. By working together with parents and carers, we help every student understand the importance of making positive choices and taking responsibility for their actions.
Our Behaviour Policy is available on our website and provides full details of our expectations, rewards and behaviour procedures.
